Turbine engine output inspection

Output inspection is the work of comparing the current engine performance with the original engine performance and confirming that it is within the margin (allowable range).

The inspection method is to start both engines first and then increase the output of the engine to be inspected until flight idle. Leave the other engine in ground idle and turn off unnecessary systems to avoid overloading the engine.

Pull up the collective lever to raise TRQ to 75%.

After that, record N1, TOT, OAT, ALT, TRQ.

Apply the numbers to the chart and confirm.

This is a task that you always see when putting the aircraft in heavy maintenance.
